Everything sparkled on Thursday, 11th December, as the Marriott threw its annual community Christmas party to say thank you to its business partners and supporters across Cayman.
With a gold theme this year, everyone turned up decked out in their best festive wear, and the decorations certainly did not pale in comparison.
After a cocktail reception in the foyer area, Director of Marketing Carolina Vouilleme helped to open the doors of the Orchid Ballroom to guests, who entered in awe of the beautiful décor and drinks and snacks available.
From a sushi bar, to freshly-made quesadillas to breads and cheeses and an open bar, there was plenty of refreshment to be had by all, and entertainment was provided courtesy of Jamesette Anglin, who led rousing renditions of many popular Christmas tunes.
Raffle prizes were handed out and local dancer Kirk Rowe wowed the crowd with his performances, ranging from energetic, modern African dance to hip hop crowd-pleasers.
Ms Vouilleme was delighted with the turnout and the success of the evening.
‘We were glad to see that everybody had fun and enjoyed the party,’ she said. ‘We wanted to have a nice event with beautiful decorations, delicious food, nice drinks and outstanding service, but at the same time informal.
‘Our team at the Marriott Beach Resort likes to deliver the best to our customers but in a relaxed atmosphere which feels like you are home and among friends.’
A range of Marriott partners were invited to the party, including tourism authorities (Charles Clifford, minister of tourism, was in attendance), top customers, vendors and media and industry partners. Ms Vouilleme added that the Marriott loves to celebrate during the festive season with those they work with throughout the year.
‘This is our annual Christmas party to thank our customers, business and media partners and to celebrate Christmas with them.’
