Former governor on-island for book signing

Thomas Russell has a well-deserved reputation as the most respected and loved governor of the Cayman Islands.

Mr. Russell arrived in Grand Cayman in August of 1974. Within his first few weeks, Mr. Russell planned a Meet the People Programme, through which he met with church and community leaders throughout the islands.

The sincerity of Mr. Russell’s character impressed the Caymanian people, and his term as governor was extended three times.

Mr. Russell, however, was more than a devoted representative of the Cayman Islands. His book, I Have The Honour To Be, is an autobiographical account of the many interesting experiences his life has embraced.

From 11am to 2pm on 3 January, Mr. Russell will be available at Books by the Bay in Grand Harbour to sell additional copies of his book.

Those with pre-purchased books are encouraged to bring their copies for Mr. Russell to sign.
