Courteous but uninformative

Thank you, Governor Jack, for your letter to the people of these Islands recently printed in this newspaper.

Unfortunately, it does not answer the questions that have been put to you, particularly with regard to the continued presence in Cayman of Mr. Bridger and his merry men, after their abuse of power and improper behaviour.

The cost to this country of their presence increases with every day that passes, and the final total will be a shocking revelation of this charade.

However, it was at very least courteous of you to openly address the citizens of our country.
