HSBC awards top employees

HSBC Bank (Cayman) Ltd. recently named Theresa Ebanks Employee of the Year for 2008.

Mrs. Ebanks, who works as an assistant manager in the Bank’s Operations Division, was presented with the honour at the staff’s Christmas party held at The Wharf Restaurant.

Mrs. Ebanks was rewarded with a cash prize, a commemorative plaque and use of a specially designated parking space.

‘I am very honoured to be recognised in this way,’ Mrs. Ebanks said.

‘My performance reflected the support of my colleagues and managers and I am proud to work with everyone on the team, as we continue to strive for excellence at HSBC Cayman.’

Head of Human Resources, Walling Whittaker, said: ‘At HSBC, we truly value our staff and we are constantly looking for new ways to reward and recognise them for outstanding performance and this year we plan to organise a special event specifically for this purpose.’

Four employees were also given long service awards: Beverly Bernard was recognised for 20 years service, Donna Welcome for 15 years, and Katherine Chiazza and Latasha Nixon for 10 years service.

Five employees had perfect attendance records throughout the year and were given special awards: Gemel Sobers, Nana Deng, Chet Morrison, Sean Murphy, and Beverly Bernard.
