One dead, two hurt in Brac crash

A single vehicle car crash which occurred in Cayman Brac early Thursday morning has left one man dead and two more injured.

At around 1.10am a Special Constable reported to 911 that a car had crashed on West End, near the Texaco gas station. All emergency services responded to the scene and found that a Silver Nissan Primera had collided with a parked car.

The driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old man, and his two male passengers had all sustained serious injuries.

All three were taken to hospital. The driver was later pronounced dead. The two passengers, aged 21 and 23, remain in hospital in a serious condition.

The driver was identified as Eric Dannie Dixon of Spot Bay, Cayman Brac. The 21-year-old passenger, identified as Rio Dixon was airlifted to a Miami hospital. The third victim remained in Faith Hospital in stable condition.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw or heard the crash, or who saw the Nissan Primera prior to the crash. Anyone who can assist police should contact Cayman Brac police station on 948-0331.
