Relaunch of Cayman Financial Review

The latest edition of the newly revamped Cayman Financial Review has been launched.

CFR, the only magazine that promotes Cayman’s financial services sector at a local and international level, is now being published under a new editorial board and publisher.

Cayman Free Press recently purchased the respected eight-year-old publication was recently purchased from Tower Media.

Tim Ridley, former chairman of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, chairs the new editorial board for the quarterly publication that has a distribution of 10,000 copies.

Mr. Ridley, in his introductory letter to CFR readers, said: ‘CFR is the only local publication exclusively focussed on the financial services in a 360 degree way. With all the challenges, both local and international, now more than ever, the Cayman Islands needs a strong outlet to present, analyse and put forward solutions to these challenges.

‘This we aim to do both by substantive content and by greatly increased international distribution.’

The glossy, high-end magazine will be distributed directly to heads of financial, legal and other relevant institutions in the financial market worldwide. It is also available to subscribers online and will be distributed at conferences worldwide.

The publication covers banking, capital markets, corporate services, hedge funds, securitisation, captive insurance, reinsurance, trusts, funds administration, regulatory developments, jurisdictional updates and conference overviews.

All the content within the magazine is contributed by industry professionals and journalists with in-depth knowledge of the industry.

‘The aim of the editorial content of the CFR is to be analytical and robust in opinions and commentary regarding the Cayman financial services industry and be mindful of both global trends and how they impact Cayman as well as how Cayman activities affect other jurisdictions’ said Teritia Peart, business manager of Cayman Free Press and the CFR product coordinator.

The CFR board includes Theo Bullmore, Andrew Morris, Conor O’Dea, Pilar Bush and Dr. Richard Rahn, and one more active member is being sought. The board met in late January for the second of their quarterly Editorial Board meetings.

The online site, www.caymanfinancialreview.com. will be distributed locally to financial industry-related organisations, associations and government and to an international database of the top 500 legal and accountant, financial service associations, hedge fund and government contact lists in the US, UK, Europe, South East Asia, Dubai and South America.
