The Planning Department recently launched ETrakit, a website that allows the public and applicants to view information on Planning projects and Building permits.
‘In this age of Freedom of Information and Government transparency, the Planning Department is pleased to open the first phase of our electronic door to the community through ETrakit,’ said Director of Planning, Kenneth Ebanks.
‘Phase two will entail the ability for applicants to submit applications electronically.’
ETrakit allows users to search by property location or permit number to learn what type of project is underway and whether or not it has received Planning permission.
ETrakit also allows users to interact with Planning staff through online tools that will eliminate the need for clients to telephone, fax or visit the Planning Department to schedule inspections, thereby reducing wait times, saving money and increasing efficiency.
