E-mail sanctions needed

I am so glad to see the article on local businesses spamming for marketing purposes and the ICTA acknowledging this is something they are going to act on.

It is simply bad business practice to send (and to keep sending) unsolicited emails, astonishing that well known business people are encouraging it!

At The Reef resort we make frequent use of bulk e-mail, but every email we send out is through a well known email list management service and, as per their terms and conditions (and again, good business practice), every email also includes both full contact information for our business, as well as clear and easy options to opt out of the list and so future emails.

It is amazing to me that the ICTA has not yet acted on this in a firm and decisive manner, I hope they do now.
