Top trust student honoured

A new award hopes to inspire people interested in a career in the trust sector by recognizing the student gaining top marks on the papers leading up to the diploma in international trust management.

RBS Coutts and the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners Cayman launched its Top Student Award at their AGM held at the Wharf restaurant on 18 June, which this year went to Joanne Jessop

Earning the designation of Trust and Estate Practitioner, Ms Jessop was Cayman’s top achiever.

‘The members of STEP Cayman play a vital role in the success of Cayman’s trust industry and the student members are an investment in its continued success,’ said STEP Chairman Andrew Miller.

The award has been made possible through the support of RBS Coutts.

‘We recognise the hard work and effort which goes into studying for this diploma and the importance the exams have in maintaining the highest standards in our industry. We see this as a way to give encouragement and incentive to current and future students’ said David Foster, head of private banking at RBS Coutts.
