The New Self-Help Community Foundation has offered a helping hand to the Youth Services Unit’s Sizzling Summer Camp series.
The capital injection by foundation, a non-profit organisation which aims to help teenaged youth develop a sense of self-worth, independence and community spirit, will go towards offsetting the cost of camp, making it more affordable to teens that might have otherwise not be able to afford it.
The cost for the three weeklong series of camps is $50 and is manageable to most households, thanks to the foundation and many other sponsors, partners and contributors, according to a press release from the foundation.
New Self-Help Community Foundation CEO JC Connor said: ‘Helping youth to get the skills to lay their own groundwork for the future significantly enlarges the educational experience that added to their self-worth’.

This investment was made possible by the success of the Foundation’s Annual Talent Exposition of the Arts and the many supporters and friends of the Foundation.
