Jim wants Legends hat-trick

The popular Legends tennis tournament returns next year and fans will be hoping that the sport’s superstars will reach here.

John McEnroe came last year and wowed the local crowd.

Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi joined the tournament this year so fingers are crossed that they’ll pass this way. The Legends Championships is a year-long tournament for former top players aged over 30.

The dates for the Cayman leg have just been announced; 23-25 April 2010, held at the Ritz-Carlton,

Jim Courier has won the Cayman tournament the past two years but if either Sampras or Agassi turn up, he will be under pressure for a hat-trick.

Courier breezed past fellow American Jimmy Arias on the Ritz clay court in April. It took him just over an hour to earn $60,000 in winning 6-4, 6-2 and gain 800 ranking points to topple Sampras off the No.1 position in the Outback Champions Series ranking.
