Netball is storming back on the sports scene in a big way next weekend.
With men and women taking a stab at the sport more netball memories are bound to be made.
The Cayman Islands Netball Association Mixed League officially begins next Saturday at 6:30pm.
The netball courts at Truman Bodden Sports Complex are slated to be the venue for the games.
The first pair of games sees Rawlinson and Hunter against All Stars while team Unity takes on Roma.
Last year’s mixed league was a surprising success. Many men across Cayman came out to play alongside the women. In particular many basketball players came in the hopes of keeping their fitness up.
When it was all said and done First Caribbean Bank, behind hoop stars Omari Corbin and Kevin Maxwell, emerged the winners. All Stars, armed with netball luminary Lyneth Monteith and multi-sport star Rhod Taylor, finished second.
Registration for teams ended yesterday and saw a player fee of CI$20 to cover the cost of officiating.
