It never ceases to amaze me how awful the standard of driving is here on Grand Cayman.
The wide and varied mixture of nationalities and cultures in Cayman is indeed a joy to behold, but the wide and varied mixture of standards of all those different national driving tests surely has a detrimental effect upon the safety of our roads.
Why else would there be an average of three crashes per day? I propose that the Government insist that ALL drivers have to take a proper driving test in Cayman regardless of where they learned to drive.
This would not only be a revenue raising exercise, but also should result in safer roads for the whole community; a real win-win situation.
