Camana Bay held a pumpkin carving workshop to celebrate Halloween.
The event featured Katie Locke of Articulate and her team, who demonstrated spooky designs for those on hand.
Participants then joined in an interactive workshop, where participants carved their own designs with the help of templates and professional instruction.
Due to the tools used and the level of instruction, this workshop was only open to adults.
‘It has been a joy to impart these skills on such a pleasant group of participants and we are thankful to all who took part,’ said Ms. Locke.
Choices of several templates were provided for participants to choose from and each person received a carving tool they were able to take home.
In addition, fall-themed refreshments and light snacks were served including ‘pumpkintini.’
There was no charge for the session and people simply were asked to register on-line.
Articulate was founded by Nancy Barnard, the former director of the National Gallery. The programme emphasises visual arts, craft and design and fosters creativity.
Events manager for Dart Realty and Camana Bay Molly Braggs said, ‘The pumpkin carving workshop was the first Halloween event at Camana Bay
‘We are thrilled to have started this series, as it has put everyone into the fall spirit.’
Articulate conducts numerous other workshops at Camana Bay throughout the year.
