Pirates Week comes to an end this weekend but the fun won’t end there for motor sports lovers.
That is because dexterity racing is on tap next weekend.
Next Sunday sees the final race in the Time Attack series. Action gets under way from 9am in the Al and Jay Bodden Memorial Time Attack meet.
Organized by the Cayman Motorsports Association racing takes place at the Progressive loop on Sparky Drive off North Sound Road.
Registration for the race takes place next Friday at 6pm at Parkers.
News of that race comes after the sudden postponement of the second race in the Full Throttle drag race series.
That meet was scheduled for tomorrow but had to be rescheduled due to logistic issues.
At this point the race is slated to take place next month. Details on that event will be published at a later date.
Last month saw the first Full Throttle drag meet and drew a crowd of over 400 people to the track.
The three big winners were Karyn Bodden in her Porsche Cayman S (Street), Ian Tibbetts and his Chevy Corvette (Pro Street) and Junior Hydes in his Ford Mustang (Pro Race).
Bodden beat out Jimel McLean’s Honda Integra Type-R, Tibbetts took down Sammy Jackson’s GMC Sierra and Hydes defeated Delroy Forbes’ Chevy Camaro.
