A Christmas experience

Last Sunday, First Assembly of God’s Sunday School Department presented an impressive Christmas musical, The Little Drummer Boy, A Christmas Experience, at the church’s location on Old Crewe Road.

The children’s choir dressed in Santa Clause hats and directed by church superintendent Antoinette Hoyte sang lovely renditions of seasonal delights.

Making the congregation smile with his little Mr. Personality antics in making the choir go astray, young Biara Hoyte was beside himself playing the part of the little drummer boy.

But teacher Tenisha Johnson soon reined him in by reminding him that he could not go off beating his own tune.

Attendees were all smiles when the musical concluded which composed of children about preschool age to pre-teen dressed appropriately for the season.

The children also performed songs such as The Little Drummer Boy, A New Song, The Wrong Song, and A Touch of the Master’s Hand.

Youth Pastor Charles Boucher with his usual down-to-earth, humorous anecdotes and warm greetings praised the youngsters on their performance.

He then handed over the microphone to Pastor Torrence Bobb who also praised everyone on the well-put together musical. He then shared with the congregation a sermon on the topic of parenting.
