Concert benefits juvenile diabetes

Proceeds from a sold out
performance by world- renowned concert pianist, Julian Gargiulo held recently
at the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, have gone toward young people suffering from
diabetes.

Cayman National supported the
benefit concert held on 4 March hosted by the Diabetic Support Group, Cayman
Islands.

Funds raised at the event will be
used to send children from the support group to diabetes summer camps and diabetes
education courses.

The event organizers noted diabetes
is all too prevalent in Cayman and has a huge impact on the community.  The aim of the Diabetic Support Group is to
highlight the problems caused by diabetes and to raise money to fund its
prevention and cure.

“As an organisation we are pleased
to support such a cause in the hope that children with this disease will
benefit from the opportunities to become better educated in order to have a
better understanding how to manage and to live a normal life in spite of the
challenges that comes with juvenile diabetes”, said Cayman National’s Corporate
Communications Manger Claudia Welds.
