The Grand Cayman Marriott Beach
Resort has been given a prestigious accolade.
The resort has been reappraised as
an AAA four-diamond hotel, which represents an upgrade from three diamonds.
The system is used in North America
to rate hotels and is based on evaluations by professionals, member feedback
and various quality standards.
The four diamond rating applies to
hotels that are upscale in all areas, according to the AAA website.
“Accommodations are progressively
more refined and stylish. The physical attributes reflect an obvious enhanced
level of quality throughout.
“The fundamental hallmarks at this
level include an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of
hospitality, service, and attention to detail,” it reads.
Walter Regidor, managing director
of the Grand Cayman Marriott, said he was proud of the achievement and thanked
his staff while noting that the hotel was well-known for its focus on customer
satisfaction and associates training.
“All the improvements to the
property, the hospitality and the commitment to deliver the best service helped
us to achieve this recognition. Providing a better hotel product helps also to
promote the Cayman Islands on a worldwide level,” he said.
In addition, oceanfront restaurant
Solana has been granted three diamonds for its standards of service and food
