Music of the Night takes centre stage at The Ritz

Broadway
show songs will take centre stage during Music of the Night at 7 Prime Cuts
& Sunsets tonight (Friday, 14 May).

The
musical evening at the Ritz-Carlton starts at 7pm and promises to be a night to
remember, served up with a generous helping of fine dining. The three-course
meal with wine pairings will be interspersed with a 75-minute performance by
Broadway performers Greg Rolph (tenor) and Lizette Amado (mezzo soprano).

Guests
will hear classic show tunes including Wash that Man and Some Enchanted Evening
(South Pacific), Maria (West Side Story), Music of the Night (Phantom of the
Opera) and Stars (Les Miserables).

Ms
Amado has made the performing arts her career for the last 20 years. Her versatile
voice and acting skills have given her many opportunities in musicals,
television and grand opera.

While
living in New York, working as a singer and actress, she was cast by Franco
Zeffirelli in The Metropolitan Opera’s production of Carmen and subsequently
became a full-time performer.

Winner
of the prestigious ACE award for Best Performance in a Musical for her work in
Zarzuela, the Florida-based performer has sung with the Key West Pops, at the
opening of Miramar City Hall in South Florida. Ms. Amado most
recently performed at The Miramar Cultural Center.

A native of Indiana, Greg Rolph won
a scholarship in vocal performance and after college won a principle role in
the 1982 World’s Fair in Knoxville, Tennessee, which led the to his musical
career working in musical theatre, television and in many productions for the
National Opera Company.

A National Tour of Joseph took him to New York and began
his Broadway career. His many credits include Joseph, the Broadway revival of WestSide Story, where Greg portrayed the male lead Tony, My Fair
Lady, Man of LaMancha, Aspects of Love, Les Miserables, and Phantom
of the Opera.

He was cast as the original Gaston
in the 1991 Walt Disney MGM Studio epic musical, Beauty and the Beast, which
was the first full Broadway production by the Walt Disney Company, earning
several Tony awards.

Mr. Rolph has also performed in numerous
international musical ventures with various choral organisations, soloing in
major cathedrals and musical festivals throughout Europe.

In May of 2005 and again in
November of 2008, the singer performed at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican
City, along with the St. Patrick’s Church choir from Miami Florida. Pope Benedict
XVI presided the 2005 Mass.

Currently residing in Miami, Mr.
Rolph performs throughout Florida as the producer/a performer in the Three Florida Tenors™.
