Tree planting at Savannah Primary

As part of tree planting Week, Savannah Primary School Year 2 students assist Bodden Town MLA Mark Scotland in planting a mahogany tree on school grounds. An Agriculture Department official, back right, and Bodden Town MLA Anthony Eden look on. Minister Scotland told the students planting a tree is symbolic and will last a long time if taken care of. He encouraged them to water the tree and take time out to watch it grow. He also told them to encourage their parents to get involved in planting something. The mahogany tree was donated by the Department of Agriculture. Photo: Jewel Levy
