For a change, try Changs

For
a change visit Changs, Grand Cayman’s newest Chinese Bistro.

Situated
in Treasure Island on the site of several previous restaurants, most recently
Home and Bed restaurants, the upscale eatery is part of the chain that includes
Abacus, Prime and Deckers.

The
recently opened restaurant has a seating capacity of around 70 and features a
highly sophisticated ambience.

The
food is a delicate mélange of Cantonese and Mandarin cooking. Patrons will be
able to sample spicy appetisers, such as dynamite shrimp, hot and sour soup,
mandarin chicken and kung pao shrimp and scallops.

Dine
like a prince with a king-sized portion of Emperors Appetiser Platter, groaning
with lobster spring rolls, tasty crab wontons, steamy shrimp dumplings, Changs’
spare ribs and much more.

After
having chosen from a large selection of mouth-watering appetisers, try one of
Changs’ soups or salads before diving in to over 20 choices of main course.
Chicken, beef, pork and seafood dishes abound on the menu that is sure to
please all palettes.

Vegetarian
options are also available.

Changs
is the brainchild of Neil Bryington and Markus Mueri. Mr. Mueri said: “We
believed that it would be great to have an Asian-insipred Chinese bistro in a
very contemporary setting on the Island.”

The
well-appointed bistro boasts an indoor and outdoor lounge connected by a trendy
cocktail bar which is already gaining a solid reputation for its signature
drinks. Try a blood orange mojito, a plum and leeched cocktail, or chilled
sake, or sample Changs’ impressive tea selection while drinking in the cultivated
surroundings.

Beers,
wines and even Cristal (by the bottle) are available to accompany a meal.

Changs
will serve lunch from 15 July and is open seven days a week for dinner from 5pm
until close.
