Cayman’s young talent will be
performing in the 8th Annual Talent X-position of the Arts Sunday, 27 June.
The event will be staged at the
Harquail Theatre starting at 6.30pm, gates open at 5.30pm.
As usual the non-profit foundation
will be showcasing many of the Islands’ brightest proponents of dance, poetry,
song and drama.
Among the 20 or more rising young
stars will be Jevaughie Ebanks, Dru Bodden, Zosia McGregor, Jiggz Jay and Rico
Orrett. Andrea Rivera, Lloyd Barker, Soraya Taylor and KRI Performing Arts
School will also be hoping to light up the stage.
For the first time, attendees to
the annual talent showcase will get to see and experience the Grupo Capoeira
Brasil in a dramatic martial arts display.
The Talent X-position of the Arts
has been in existence for many years and is the foundation’s principal annual
fundraiser. Funds raised will go to support the foundation’s Youth Empowerment
Programme, the Training Programme of the Arts and Project 2012.
New Self-Help Community
Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer JC Connor said: “This show has a great
track record and is always well-supported by local businesses and the
public-at-large. It’s a great opportunity for the community to come out and
celebrate the brightest and the best of the young talent these islands have produced.”
