Air Transport course completed

Elaine Whorms, the air carrier
licensing officer for the Civil Aviation Authority, has successfully completed
the Introduction to Air Transport course and exam.

The course is designed to improve
the understanding of the industry among decision makers and increase awareness
of the benefits that aviation brings to national and global economies. Individuals
will then be able to apply their knowledge and skills in the aviation industry
and make more effective decisions for their organization.

Mrs. Whorms is primarily
responsible for the licensing of foreign registered aircraft that operate into
the territory in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements, the
monitoring and approval of tariffs, statistics compilation and general support
to the Authority’s senior management.

“CAACI is very proud of the
achievements of Mrs. Whorms,” said Civil Aviation Authority Director-General
Richard Smith.

“It is important that our staff
have the continued training at these highly recognised aviation workshops so
that they can become more familiar with the implemented regulations that affect
the Cayman Islands aviation industry.”
