Jones feels heady

In the English Premiership, West
Ham, secured their first point of the season, drawing 1-1 at Stoke, as Arsenal
were denied top spot after drawing 1-1 at Sunderland while Tottenham won 3-1 at
home to Wolves and Newcastle won 1-0 at Everton.

The Midlands derby ended in victory
for West Bromwich Albion, 3-1 against Birmingham City, while Aston Villa and
Blackburn Rovers were held at home, both 1-1, by Bolton Wanderers and Fulham respectively.

West Ham boss Avram Grant was not
in the dugout due to Yom Kippur, but his players were not affected as they
headed into half-time in front thanks to Scott Parker’s close-range finish on
32 minutes. But Stoke were level three minutes after the break when Kenwyne
Jones headed home Jermaine Pennant’s cross at the far post.
