8 JA students attend Next Generation forum

Junior Achievement recently sent
eight students on an all expense paid trip to the JA Canadian International
Youth Leadership Conference called Next Generation Leaders.

During this five-day conference,
young people develop strategies to real business challenges, in collaboration
with their global peers, university faculty and industry volunteers. This
experience is aimed at preparing them with leadership skills so they can lead
organisations of the future.

Programme Director Tara McField
said: “It was remarkable to see such a diverse group of young people come
together as one. The energy the teams displayed was magical, and the business
challenge presentations were phenomenal. Our kids had an experience of a lifetime.”

John Fawkes, a student at St.
Ignatius, enjoyed participating and said: “The Junior Achievement Company
Programme is a step into adulthood.”
