Dog Whisperer postpones

Dog owners the length and breadth
of Grand Cayman will be howling with disappointment to learn that best-selling
author and dog behaviour specialist Cesar Millan has postponed his promotion
visit to the island that was scheduled for Saturday, 9 October.

The reason given for why the visit
of TV personality, also known as the Dog Whisperer, has been put off was:
“complications with the import of his two- month-old-puppy,” according to
Bianca Freeland of Books & Books. The event was to have been an in-store
discussion and book signing of Cesar’s Rules: Your Way to Train a Well-Behaved
Dog, which was released 5 October.

The postponement has unleashed a
flurry of disappointment among fans.

Mary-Ann Lawrence, who has a Cayman
dog called Eddie and a pit bull, Shotta, said, “It’s such a shame. Hopefully
he’ll be able to reschedule soon. I know a lot my friends were planning to
attend. He’s a such a celebrity and really understands the psychology of dogs.”

Teacher Jennifer Goldman said, “We
were very disappointed to find out Cesar Milan was not coming. My husband and I
just got a puppy, named Rooney, and were very interested in speaking to Mr.
Milan about puppy training advice. It would have been fantastic to hear him

Book & Books said it was in the
process of confirming a new date for the event. Copies of Mr. Millan’s books,
