Lace up your running shoes for a
great cause and take part in Camana Bay’s second annual Tower Run in aid of
Special Olympics Cayman Islands. This year’s event will take place Saturday, 16
October starting outside The Discovery Centre on The Paseo.
The unusual 2.14 mile race around
Camana Bay ends with a sprint finish up and down The Observation Tower, and
this year organisers have added a special kids’ dash down Market Street.
Registration takes place from 6am
on race day with an entry fee of $10 per participant (100 per cent of the
proceeds go to the Special Olympics Cayman Islands). Competitors can then take
part in the pre-race warm-up to get participants energised and in the zone with
Anytime Fitness on Market Street. Camana Bay’s on-site gym will also be undertaking
free body composition testing.
The race starts at 7am; the kids’
dash down Market Street begins at 8am.
Pre-race registration is at The
Discovery Centre on The Paseo daily between 9am and 6pm, or reserve a place by
emailing [email protected]
Post race beverages will be
available courtesy of Café del Sol and Cayman Distributors. TrinCay Medical
will man a First Aid stand. Last year’s winners were (men) Mark Browne, David
Walker and Martin Davies and (women) Avril O’Reilly, Emily Davies and Laura
