Breakfast for breast cancer survivors

A breakfast for breast cancer
survivors will be held at the Westin Casuarina Hotel on Saturday, 30 October.

The Lions Club of Tropical Gardens
and Baptist Health International are hosting the annual breakfast, which is now
in its second year.

Cancer survivor Amica Scott will
share her experience and give encouragement tips. The invocation will be given
by the Rev. Mary Graham, who will also provide an inspirational segment. 

Other speakers include Dr. Joseph
Ostroski, senior consultant liaison at Baptist Health South Florida serving the
Foundation and International Department, and Dr. Robert DerHagopian,
board-certified surgical oncologist and medical director of the Baptist Health
Breast Centre within the South Miami Hospital’s campus. Both doctors provide
secondary and tertiary services to supplement and support Cayman’s medical

Cancer survivors who attend will
also get a chance to win a cruise on the Carnival Freedom ship scheduled to
sail in May 2011 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Breast Cancer Awareness is
celebrated worldwide in the month of October. This breakfast event will
conclude The Lions Club of Tropical Gardens’ Breast Cancer Awareness 2010

The breakfast will be held from 8am
to 11am on 30 October at the Galleon Room at the Westin Casuarina Hotel.
