There will be plenty of straight lines and full houses at a bingo night next week to raise funds for the Cayman Islands Cancer Society.
Ramona Bogdan, a volunteer with the Cancer Society, is organising a bingo night at the Hard Rock Cafe on Wednesday, 27 July, which begins at 7pm.
Ms Bogdan’s sister, Ina, is undergoing treatment for cancer and both women are bingo fans, so they decided to host one of their favourite games to raise money for the Cancer Society.
“My sister’s a cancer patient and she likes bingo, so we thought it’d be a good idea to do this,” Ms Bogdan said.
She said there had been great support from several companies in Cayman that donated prizes, including a trip to Stingray City, parasailing, a sunset cruise, yoga sessions, accessories from boutiques, spray tan sessions and vouchers for smoothies and petrol. Winner of the final game of the night will get a big prize, donated by Diamonds International, where Ina Bogdan works.
“Everyone’s been really supportive,” Ramona Bogdan said.
There will be 21 games of bingo, each costing $2 per bingo card and $10 for two bingo cards for the final game. Hard Rock will also be offering drinks specials during the evening.
