Comedian and action Pierre Edwards will headline the next Laughter Lounge Comedy Show on 14-15 October at the former Vivendi Theatre.
Tony Sculfield, from Martin Lawrence 1st Amendment, returns as guest host for the month of October. Edwards, also from Martin Lawrence 1st Amendment, was featured in the movies How to be a Player (1997, featuring Bill Bellamy and Lark Voorhies) and Baps (a 1997 comedy starring Halle Berry). He also starred opposite legendary comedic actor Leslie Nielsen as his partner in 2001: A Space Travesty.
The networking evening gets off with great vibes from a live performance by Stuart Wilson, and there’s good food, and fantastic drink specials.
Pierre has worked along side some of the most talented actors in Hollywood and he has some hilarious experiences about them all. After years of sharing those stories both publicly on stage and privately among fans and friends, Pierre figured it was time to write a book.
“My 100 Homies and Phonies of Hollywood … will provide readers with a unique look into the lives of 100 Hollywood stars that I’ve worked with. Never before published stories include how while travelling to pick up Pierre up for a comedy show, Rickey Smiley got shot in the stomach. “I also have some final words from Tupac on the whole East/West Coast beef.”
After a few small roles in The Wash and The Breaks, Pierre recently stepped out on his own, where he wrote, produced, directed and starred in the theatrical released urban classic For Da Love of Money, which has recently been airing on BET.
