The schedule is set for the upcoming Lions Club of Grand Cayman annual spelling bee competition.
Students in the Cayman Islands are set to compete in preliminary rounds during the evenings of 9-10 November at Mary Miller Hall in Red Bay. The finals are scheduled for 30 November at Prospect Primary School. All competitions begin at 6.30pm.
Internet and telecommunications provider LIME along with BAF, an insurance and investment services firm, are the major sponsors for the event.
“Being a responsible corporate citizen is at the core of our business and LIME is elated to support this annual event, which has been part of our community for so long,” said Anthony Ritch, LIME’s general manager.
The annual spelling bee competition in Grand Cayman is entering its 28th year.
“For many years, BAF (formerly British American) has supported the annual event and it will continue to support the club in its community efforts,” said Sandra Pars, BAF representative.
