SteppingStones recruitment company was “tickled pink” to make the Cayman Islands Cancer Society the recipient of its October charitable donation.
Each month, the employment and recruitment company gives its temporary support team a chance to make voluntary donations and a specific amount is deducted from each pay cheque of participants. The total amount is then matched by SteppingStones and donated to a chosen charity of the month.
Donors are encouraged to nominate a charity. Last month, they chose to give to the Cancer Society during breast cancer awareness month.
In the past year, SteppingStones and its temp workers have been presented to The Pines, Off the Beaten Track, Nadine Andreas Residential Foster Home, Cayman Islands Humane Society, Cayman Islands Cancer Society, Cayman Islands Wildlife Rescue and the Cayman Crisis Centre.
Money raised has gone toward projects such as the renovation and installation of a basketball hoop and equipment for the children at the foster home.
