An interior design store is rewarding its customers with discounts for every $5 they donate to help out two people in need.

Robert Wood Lighting and Interiors is offering a discount to those who donate money to help breast cancer patient Michelle Motsko and Brandon McTaggart, a little boy with cerebral palsy.

Each $5 donated by customers at the store is translated into an equal percentage discount – so customers who donate $5 will get 5 per cent off their purchase, those who donate $25 will get a 25 per cent discount and so on, up to a 50 per cent discount, which is the maximum.

Jeanie Lovinggood, business partner of the store, said the two causes were close to her heart as Ms Motsko is a former employee and she is related to 4-year-old Brandon.

“Michelle’s like a daughter to me and Brandon is my niece’s baby. They’re both very near and dear to me.

“I know the constraints they’re in right now and they both need our help,” she said.

The Benefit Storewide Sale at the store in Industrial Park, No. 28 Commercial Avenue, off North Sound Road, runs until Thursday, 15 December.
