David’s throws should get sharper

Flag football action is picking up in the Cayman Islands.

Youngsters are set to storm the Camana Bay sports field this Saturday, 3 March, for The Security Centre Youth Flag Football League. The competition has been ongoing for a number of years and is organized by the Cayman Islands Flag Football Association.

Action is usually split into divisions according to age groups, with competitors being age 7-17. In the past, the league has attracted young athletic talent like David Lee, Dylan Bostock and Sean McField.

Aside from helping out, adults have a competition of their own in the flag football association co-ed league. Taking place every Friday evening at the TE McField Sports Centre (often called the Annex), teams are into their third week of play. Some 14 squads have registered to play with various businesses represented such as Pizza Hut, Cayman Airways and Burger King.
