One of Cayman’s finest showcases of youth talent took place on Saturday, 24 March.
Young Talented Stars 2012 was held at John Gray High School, says Nolly Brown.
“The turnout was greater than last year and 18 kids took to the stage to see who would become this year’s winner. There were only two categories – vocals and dancing,” Nolly says.
“Zariah Anglin was voted best voice of the year and also took first place for vocals, with Thalia Naranjo first place in dancing.”
The event continues to be popular among upcoming talent, Nolly says.
“We are proud to host these shows for the youth of Cayman as the kids always look forward to this event every year,” she says. “And even though sponsorship is almost nil we still try to keep our events going, trying not to disappoint the kids as we really do have talented youngsters in Cayman.
“Well done to all the contestants who worked hard to make it to the finals and we all look forward to seeing you again next year,” Nolly says.
To be announced shortly is a special Young Talented Stars event in Cayman Brac. Though the date is yet to be confirmed, it is expected to take place during May. Watch this space for more details.
