Development meet to track progress

The Cayman Islands Athletic Association is hosting a development meet on Thursday 3 May at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex starting at 6pm.

This is a chance for aspiring athletes to measure their progress and work towards emulating the likes of Cydonie Mothersill, Ronald Forbes and Kemar Hyman and the swimming brothers Shaune and Brett Fraser who will all be going to the London Olympics in July. Mothersill and Hyman will be competing at the inaugural Cayman Invitational on 9 May.

Events to be contested are long jump, high jump, shot put, 100 metres, 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m and age groups eligible to participate are 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17 
and over.
