Ronald Forbes is upbeat about being in shape as Cayman’s Olympic rep in the 110 metres hurdles at the London Games. Forbes battled with injury last year but rehabbed well enough during the winter to compete at the World Indoors earlier in the year.
But he got injured again just before last week’s historic Cayman Invitational at the Truman Bodden track meet and had to content himself with watching from the sidelines the likes of Yohan Blake, Carmelita Jeter and Cydonie Mothersill win their respective races.
“I’m back, I’m healthy and feeling good and should be competing this weekend,” said Forbes who had a slight stress fracture on his left foot.
“So far, my times in training are better than the injury and at least I did have an indoor season which helps.”
