Golf sees its next major charity event in June.
Cayman Crime Stoppers will hold its one and only fundraiser this year on Friday, 1 June, with its annual Million Dollar Shoot-out golf tournament at the North Sound Golf Club.
“This fun and exciting day of golf is a great way to gain visibility amongst Cayman’s business leaders for the support of Cayman Crime Stoppers. Plus, golfers will have a chance to win a million bucks,” said Malcolm Ellis, Chairman of Cayman Crime Stoppers.
Corporate sponsorship opportunities are still available at all levels. Golfers can also show their support by signing up individually or as teams.
“The Million Dollar Shoot-out is one of the most popular golf tournaments of the year. So don’t delay in booking your team right away and join in our efforts to fight crime here.”
This year’s event will have both morning and afternoon shotgun starts. Throughout the day, there are fun events on the course, as well as chances to win prizes for longest drives and closest to the pin. You can also qualify to enter the famous “Million Dollar Shoot-out”, where 15 players will compete for a chance at a million-dollar prize.
Regardless of the prizes, it is a great way to support Cayman Crime Stoppers, a nonprofit, civilian-run organization formed to prevent and solve crimes. Crime Stoppers provides a safe and secure way for anybody with information about a crime to give it freely while protecting their identity. The CCS tip hotline, 800-TIPS (800-8477), is a vital tool in helping to fight crime and the organization need public support to keep the programme going.
