Make each day a canvas

Do you desire to wake up every morning with the feeling of complete triumph over your life and situation? Well guess what? Today is the dawn of a new day; yours to keep or yours to throw away and waste. Choose what you will do with it. The sun is up and the dawn has broken and your life is like a blank canvas and you are the artist that will create what is on that page. Think of it like your mind is the canvas and your thoughts and feelings are the brushes and the colours.

Take some time to imagine in your mind the things that you will put on that canvas. What are your dreams and aspirations? What do you want to put you to bed tonight; the feeling of triumph or the feeling of unfinished business? Because you have been given this new day indicates that you have been given another chance to do it better, get it right or stay right where you are. It is all up to you.

Imagine the steps, the solutions and the actual results of something that you have always wanted to do or achieve. Now turn your imagination into action and start to create. Give yourself benchmarks and a framework, without overestimating or underestimating your abilities. Be honest with yourself about your strengths and work from that standpoint. Begin to work on your weaknesses if the goal requires more of those skills or change the goal to something achievable. Start out with easier tasks and graduate to more complex ones.

It is easy to create that life that you dream of if you simply put your imagination and creativity to work and begin to draw on your blank canvas. You might even surprise yourself with what you can do.

But remember that it is your canvas and no one else’s; not your parents or your spouses, pastor’s, children’s or even your bosses. It is yours and yours alone to create the picture for your life. It is blank and filled with possibilities of the artist and what it will communicate today so take time and consideration before you begin.

And tomorrow will be a new day to do as you please with; to create a new picture on the canvas of your life. As long as you make sure that today’s picture will not adversely affect or compromise tomorrows picture you are well on your way to creating a beautiful you.
