Unless you know exactly what you are doing, preparing a boat before a storm is best left to the professionals. During the rainy season, check your bilge pumps are working correctly. A faulty bilge pump could cause your boat to sink.

When bilge pumps are working overtime during heavy rain, they can also drain the boat’s battery which will in turn stop the bilge pump working. Check your boat and crank the engine to charge the battery regularly.
