It has been a long-time vision of the Chamber’s to have an online one-stop shop scholarship and training resource for Cayman’s young people looking for support and opportunity.
We have in the past produced a quality printed version but in our fast-paced world no sooner has the ink dried than we have something to update. This makes it virtually impossible to keep the information current.
Showmethemoney.ky, named tongue in cheek for the popular movie catch phrase, is the answer to this vision and will allow students to access scholarship information at a click of a mouse.
Students can create their own free account and set up their profile, cover letters and resumes using a personal control panel. Scholarship applications can be completed online and copies will be stored for the student’s future reference.
We are also working on other tools for students that will allow them to search information on careers and colleges and other related topics of interest.
Businesses too will find the website both easy to navigate and an effective promotional tool for their scholarships, training and educational opportunities. By creating a FREE account, businesses can manage their company profile, scholarships and applications from a private control panel that can be accessed at anytime. Businesses may also wish to create an extra buzz about their scholarship information and upgrade to Featured Listing.
This not only draws attention to the business and their scholarship, it also confirms the business as a supporter of Workforce Development allowing the use of a special electronic stamp on their website or promotional materials. This option costs just $250 for the year per scholarship or opportunity and all money raised goes back into the site development or other workforce development initiatives conducted by the Chamber.
“The launch of this new website signifies the completion of another action relating to Objective b. (Ensure employers have access to a skilled workforce) of the Future of Cayman Develop Talent driver,” said Chamber CEO Wil Pineau. “The Chamber will continue to evaluate the information provided to its users and we look forward to getting feedback from both students and scholarship providers. Showmethemoney.ky is not just for scholarships. If you have an internship, apprenticeship, or summer job we want to hear from you!”
Businesses are encouraged to go online at www.showmethemoney.ky and sign up today! If you would like more information on how you can add your scholarship, training or other opportunity to showmethemoney.ky contact [email protected] or call 949-8090.
