Tourism association completes training course

The executive staff at the Cayman Islands Tourism Association have completed the PRIDE training presented by the Cayman Islands government.

Tourism plays a major role in the Cayman Islands’ economy. The government is funding this programme as part of its ongoing mandate to enhance the Cayman Islands’ competitiveness as a tourism destination and to help ensure the long-term sustainability of tourism in the territory. The world spends more than $500 billion on tourism yearly.

“By raising the level of customer service throughout the country, we will be able to obtain a greater share of the tourism market,” said Jane van der Bol of the association. “The Cayman Islands Tourism Association realises the value of this great programme and all staff are now PRIDE trained.

“This free training is available for all businesses and we encourage our tourism partners to participate in the PRIDE programme”.

PRIDE is an acronym that denotes making a commitment to take Personal Responsibility in Delivering Excellence.

“It’s all about PRIDE,” Ms van der Bol added.
