Water Authority – Cayman’s annual Project Angel Tree has recently collected donations from staff totalling $580, with the Authority matching staff donations towards the project.
On Wednesday, staff at Water Authority – Cayman presented a check of $1,160 to the Nadine Andreas Residential Foster Home, a project of the NCVO in the Cayman Islands. The money will be used to assist in their mission to create a family type home and provide the essential ingredients that offer the children as normal a life as possible.
Project Angel Tree is organised by the Authority’s Human Resources department, which chooses a different charitable organisation to donate to each Christmas. The donations are given by the staff in a monetary value with the Authority matching these donations to the project.
“The Water Authority is proud of our staff who continue to show support and give generously to our Project Angel Tree each year. This generosity benefits the people who need it most at this special time of year. We recognise the importance the
Nadine Andreas Foster Home has in the community and wish them all the success on achieving their goals,” said Gelia Frederick-van Genderen,
Nadine Andreas Foster Home Care Manager, Mr. John Alban, expressed his appreciation to the board, management and staff of the Authority.
“On behalf of the NCVO, I would like to thank you and your staff for the generous donation to the Foster Home. We are pleased to be this year’s recipient of the Project Angel Tree organised by the Water Authority. In particular, we would like to say a big thank you to the staff of the Authority who has once again shown their love of community in looking out for those less fortunate at this time of year.”
The Water Authority is the statutory authority responsible for the management of water and wastewater in the Cayman Islands.
