New vet at Countryside

There’s a new face at the Veterinary Clinic and Specialty Boarding at Countryside Shopping Village in Savannah.

Elisabeth Broussard has joined Dr. Alfred Benjamin, owner and veterinarian, and his staff as a temporary associate veterinarian.

She began her stint on 2 April.

Dr. Broussard, originally from southeast Louisiana, graduated from Louisiana State University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She has worked in emergency hospitals and mixed animal practice overseas and has enjoyed the daily activity of companion animal practice here in the Cayman Islands for close to 10 years. She highly values the bond between the pet and pet owner and wants to help nurture that relationship through the delivery of a balanced style of professional healthcare.

On the job, she has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and has had great success with some challenging cases. She is also certified in acupuncture, food and massage therapy and can use these as additional tools, where necessary, to support and integrate with the traditional veterinary medical and surgical treatment protocols.

In her spare time, Dr. Broussard enjoys creating art and music. She loves cooking for her family (pets included), and likes to explore Grand Cayman with her husband and child.

Dr. Broussard is pleased to join the team at the Veterinary Clinic and Specialty Boarding and looks forward to developing mutually
beneficial and highly satisfactory relations with our clients, patients and our staff.
