Leading the Cayman Islands into the future

Built on a solid foundation and growing through strength, quality & branding. Sheena Conolly’s real estate company is committed to quality in every genre, including location, personnel, branding, marketing and media with a dynamic website, style, property selection and creativity.

Quietly beavering away and creating a unique Cayman team, now thirteen people strong with seven languages, the majority of whom have worked closely alongside her for many years. Some of the company’s exciting highlights include a record breaking year in which many new marketing initiatives have been launched, awards won and new growth opportunities identified.

Awards ~ Congratulations!

International Property Awards
Cayman Islands Sotheby’s International Realty (CISIR) recently won FIRST PLACE for “Best Real Estate Agency” from the long established International Property Awards who celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry. These awards are split into regions covering Africa, Asia Pacific, Arabia, Canada, Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe UK, and USA. The Cayman Islands Sotheby’s International Realty firm won at the highest five star level and was the only real estate agency company in Cayman to be honoured, and one of only two in the Caribbean region.

SIR Franchise Award
Sotheby’s International Realty recently announced it won the prestigious Franchise Business Review Best in Category award for the sixth year in a row! Franchise Business Review surveyed more than 26,000 franchisees from more than 350 leading systems. In addition to its real estate ranking, the brand came in second overall among the Top 50. The Sotheby’s International Realty network now has currently 12,800 sales associates located in approximately 660 offices in 47 countries and territories worldwide since 2004.

Who’s Who of Luxury Real Estate
Sheena Conolly was invited to join and is a member of the distinguished network of Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate. This directory includes some of the world’s most prestigious real estate moguls. She is proud to be the only member of this elite group in the Cayman Islands and one of the few in the region.

A Place in the Sun
A CISIR property and accompanying article was highlighted in ‘A Place in the Sun’ in the top ten best places to live in the world.

Cayman twice on HGTV’s
Million Dollar Room
HGTV’s top tier program Million Dollar Room aired on New Year’s Day 2012 with a Cayman property which has showed many times since and this year again, in a new Million Dollar Room series, Cayman Islands Sotheby’s International Realty had the recent opportunity to promote a second different property filming through HGTV’s powerful reach.

Cutting Edge Technology
Determined to be a market leader, Conolly has invested significantly in technology, but is the first to admit she is not a computer geek. “To touch and feel beautifully presented glossy pictures still appeals to our audience, we have to use traditional print marketing as well as the newer electronic media and in my view there is nothing to replace great people, these days we certainly have to be uber ubiquitous! “

Widely recognised for marketing innovation, the Cayman firm recently embraced augmented reality with an application known as ‘Aurasma’.

One of the first companies ever to use this tool for real estate, Aurasma actually makes a still photograph come alive by using video. This revolutionary tool allows anyone with a smart phone or a tablet to access videos from a photo just by pointing at the photo image. The local Sotheby’s International Realty firm has also created a tutorial link on their local website www.SIRCaymanIslands.com.

“You will never forget the first time you see this clever application in action. This revolutionary technology can bring far reaching marketing solutions to the real estate industry, where much of the marketing to customers is done through capturing the visual appeal of a property or place” said Conolly.

The World of Video & You Tube
With the recent addition of an in-house full time cinematographer, in the last six months our company has generated more than 130,000 viewings of our Cayman property videos worldwide! We are particularly proud of La Buena Vida’s, which is a magnificent ocean front estate

The New CISIR Website & Social Media

After extensive work with the Sotheby’s network consultants in NY, CISIR will shortly launch their new local website; www.SIRCaymanIslands.com. This exciting development, which will promote the best of the best of the Cayman Islands locally and globally will include the latest in technology, coupled with beautiful visuals. The new local website will cascade from the International website www.SIR.com which currently operates in 15 languages. All aspects of SEO, SEM and social media will be utilised to drive awareness and leads, including You Tube, Facebook, Twitter, Linked in, Blogging, Pinterest, Instagram and integrated campaigns.

“Our business now functions in an environment where over 87% of consumers now start their search on the internet. Of paramount importance is that this website will be user friendly as well as savvy and sophisticated in a clean smart way”, she says.

The new ‘Anthology’
700 million overall impressions will be created in 2013 to a qualified targeted audience by Sotheby’s International Realty head office.

In March 2013 Sotheby’s International Realty launched ‘Anthology’ which is a wholly immersive digital experience. It features video, image slide shows, pull out information blurbs and live links to media partners and online channels. Through the use of dynamic iPad features, you can now tap, pull or swipe your way with a network member through the marketing options.

The unique collaboration with Adobe ties the plan together through innovative marketing efforts. At the core of the brand’s 2013 strategy are its relationships with pre-eminent media houses in both print and online arenas including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, BBC.com, The Telegraph Media group, Google, Architectural Digest, The Hong Kong Tatler, & The Globe & Mail. Each relationship features elements that are exclusive to the brand, created solely for it and featuring new technologies, tools and resources.

Mobile App SIR Mobile

In 2013, worldwide, there will be more internet searches on a mobile device than on a computer. For those seeking to search whilst on the road, SIR Mobile is the only luxury real estate mobile app that searches globally and works anywhere.

Rental Department
The implementation of a new rental department for the company has filled a much needed gap in the market with quality photography and presentation as well as round the clock service.

From the Airport to the Gallery

The high gloss touch is apparent from arriving at Cayman Island’s private airport terminal, where beautiful photography in brochures are cradled in custom hardwood cabinetry, a theme which is carried throughout the boutique real estate gallery located at Governor’s Square. QR codes are readily available which enable those more techy to save their favourites.
