Praying for strength of mind

The election has passed and I ask you Dear Lord to assist me.

I am proud to say so far I have adjusted my disposition and restored my calm. I have not gossiped, whined or bragged or had a single argument or dispute.

I haven’t lost my temper once or criticised my neighbours. I have not told a single lie or exaggerated the truth. I have not whimpered or cursed.

So far today I have not been grumpy once or depressed. I have not been spiteful, cold or vain, or self centred.

But Lord, I am going to need your special attention throughout the hours ahead. So give me the strength of mind and body; for presently Dear Lord I am getting out of bed.
