Cereals help end hunger

Foster’s Food Fair IGA has donated more than 20,000 boxes of Kellogg’s cereal to Feed our Future and the Pines Retirement Home. The small cereal boxes include Cornflakes, Special K and Raisin Bran.

“We appreciate Foster’s Food Fair IGA’s support for our work towards a hunger-free Cayman Islands. The children we support will greatly benefit from this supplementary supply of foodstuff during these summer months,” said Feed our Future chairperson Stacey VanDevelde.

Speaking on behalf of the Pines Retirement Home, interim manager Lynda Mitchell said, “The Pines residents love cereal so we are more than happy to accept this generous donation.”

Foster’s Food Fair IGA has always recognised the importance of giving back to the community, states a press release. After receiving an overstock of Kellogg’s cereal, a decision was made to donate the products to various local community organisations.
