LIME is promising that buffering will become a thing of the past with its 4G LTE mobile data service in the Cayman Islands.
The company last week launched the service, which it says will deliver mobile data speeds of more than 1OO megabytes per second, equivalent to having fiber-optic cable capabilities on any mobile device.
LIME says its service is available on Grand Cayman, with the Sister Islands due to come online by next week.
Digicel is also rolling out its 4G LTE service.
Last Friday, LIME unveiled its 4G LTE experience center at its Galleria store. Bill McCabe, CEO of LIME Cayman Islands, said the launch “marks the islands out as one of the best connected and best served countries, not just in the region but anywhere in the world. … I’m immensely proud of what has been achieved in such a short space of time.”
