Three staff members have joined the team at the Da Vinci Centre in recent months.
Scott H. David, a dual board-certified physician of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and the American College of Emergency Medicine, is creating personalized treatment plans at the center for men, women and teens seeking to optimize their health and improve their quality of life.
The treatment plans include weight loss management, nutritional counseling, preventative medical care, bio-identical hormone therapy, brain and behavioral clinical testing and anti-aging medicine.
Dr. David addresses patients’ needs through restorative medicine, non-surgical bariatric medicine, hormone restoration therapy, and aesthetic medicine.
Upon completing medical school at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1992, Dr. David held his internship and residency at University of Buffalo and Albany Medical Center. He has served as an attending physician in hospitals throughout New York and New Jersey.
Jo Bond, a licensed acupuncturist from the United Kingdom, also recently joined the practice.
She graduated with a degree in acupuncture from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in the U.K. As well as delivering a sound basis in anatomy and physiology, this four-year curriculum consisted of extensive training in acupuncture, practical clinical experience, and adjunct therapies which include eastern nutrition, moxibustion, cupping and guasha.
She completed a post-graduate internship at the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Chengdu, China, where she gained added clinical experience.
Ms Bond has also trained in reflexology, under the guidance of a recognized Reiki Master and healer originally from China.
She started her own acupuncture practice in Bristol in the U.K. before moving on to working internationally on cruise ships.
She uses her skills in acupuncture to treat all types of pain conditions, including arthritis, sciatica, stress, anxiety and other emotional issues, as well as conditions affecting sleep, skin and digestion.
According to Ms Bond, her treatment philosophy involves treating the whole person and addressing all aspects of her patients’ lives.
Chiropractor Christopher O’Laire, who is originally from the United States, rounds out the trio of new arrivals.
He grew up in Wisconsin, and learned about the value and benefits of chiropractic at an early age. He was diagnosed with moderate scoliosis at age 8, and it was completely resolved by age 10 using chiropractic treatments.
He attended the University of Wisconsin and went on to earn Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
He received full board certification as a chiropractor and became licensed in the states of Wisconsin and Alabama. He practiced in Alabama for three years prior to joining the Da Vinci Centre.
He is board certified to practice a variety of physiotheraputic modalities.
Among the conditions he treats are, migraines and headaches, whiplash, neck pain, mid-back pain, low-back pain, brachial neuritis, sciatica, extremity and joint pain and myalgia.
