Easter camping

The beaches of Grand Cayman were filled with campers this weekend. Governor’s Beach, pictured here, was among several beach sites throughout the island to host families and friends who pitched tents on the sand to enjoy Easter outdoors. Beach camping over the Easter holidays has long been a tradition in the Cayman Islands.

  1. Of course camping on the beach is great. What about the garbage the campers leave behind? Just who do you think picks that up? Our beaches are filled with garbage, plastics of every kind. Walk the beach behind Chisholm cemetary. It’s disgusting. All along northside and Rum Point the garbage is an environmental disaster.
